At the core of our mission is the principle of solidarity, which fosters unity, mutual support, and collective action. By mobilizing support across all levels, we aim to advance sustainable development priorities in Sudan. This page outlines our approach to promoting solidarity, key focus areas, and the initiatives we have launched to achieve these goals.

Our commitment to solidarity is closely aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 17 (SDG 17) – Partnerships for the Goals. SDG 17 emphasizes the importance of strengthening global partnerships to support and achieve the ambitious targets of the 2030 Agenda. By mobilizing support across all levels and fostering partnerships, we aim to advance sustainable development priorities in Sudan.

Our Approach

Sudan Policy Advisory Group is dedicated to building a sense of solidarity among all Sudanese people. We believe that through strong, supportive communities, we can address the challenges facing our nation more effectively. Our approach involves creating platforms for dialogue, promoting social justice, and implementing programs that enhance social cohesion and collective action.

Priority Areas

  • Community Engagement: Active engagement with communities across Sudan is a priority for us. By fostering open communication and collaboration, we aim to build trust and strengthen community bonds. This involves organizing community meetings, workshops, and forums where individuals can share their concerns, ideas, and aspirations.
  • Inclusive Development: Inclusive development ensures that no one is left behind. We strive to include marginalized and vulnerable groups in all aspects of development. This involves tailored programs that address the unique needs of these groups, ensuring their active participation in the development process.
  • National Unity: Fostering national unity is crucial for a peaceful and prosperous Sudan. We promote a sense of national identity that transcends ethnic, regional, and cultural differences. This involves cultural exchange programs, national celebrations, and initiatives that highlight the shared history and values of Sudanese people.
  • Crisis Response and Support: In times of crisis, solidarity becomes even more critical. We are committed to providing support and assistance during emergencies, whether they are natural disasters, conflicts, or health crises. Our crisis response programs aim to mobilize resources quickly and efficiently to help those in need.

Key Initiative

Sudan Solidarity Board

The Sudan Solidarity Board (SSB) is our flagship initiative dedicated to promoting and strengthening solidarity across the nation. The SSB serves as a platform for collaboration, bringing together diverse stakeholders to address social issues and foster unity and solidarity among the people of Sudan.

SSB Objectives:

  • Mobilizing Support: SSB actively mobilizes support for Sudan’s initiatives, engaging with stakeholders at all levels to secure resources, partnerships, and public backing. This includes fundraising efforts, advocacy campaigns, and building a network of allies committed to advancing sustainable development in Sudan.
  • Fostering Dialogue: SSB organizes regular dialogues and forums where community leaders, civil society organizations, government representatives, and citizens can discuss pressing social issues and develop collaborative solutions.
  • Promoting Social Cohesion: Through various programs and initiatives, the SSB works to bridge divides and promote social cohesion. This includes cultural exchange programs, interfaith dialogues, and community-building activities.
  • Supporting Vulnerable Groups: SSB implements targeted programs to support vulnerable populations, including women, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities. These programs aim to empower individuals and ensure their inclusion in all aspects of society.
  • Crisis Response Coordination: During times of crisis, SSB coordinates relief efforts, mobilizing resources and support to assist affected communities. This includes providing food, shelter, medical care, and psychological support.

Methodologies

  • Participatory Approaches: We employ participatory approaches to ensure that all stakeholders are actively involved in our initiatives. This includes conducting surveys, organizing focus groups, and facilitating workshops that gather input from diverse community members.
  • Collaborative Partnerships: Building collaborative partnerships is essential for achieving our goals. We work closely with government agencies, non-governmental organizations, community groups, and international partners to leverage resources and expertise.
  • Data-Driven Strategies: Data and research inform our strategies. We conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the needs and priorities of communities, using this information to design effective programs and initiatives.
  • Continuous Monitoring and Evaluation: To ensure the success of our initiatives, we implement continuous monitoring and evaluation processes. This involves setting clear objectives, measuring progress, and making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
